Service says Belarusian oil transit price to be mulled at 2019-end
PONIZOVKA, Crimea, Apr 24 (PRIME) – The government will discuss changes to the transit tariff of Russian oil through Belarus at the end of the year like it was planned because there is no agreement on the issue between Minsk and Moscow now, Anatoly Golomolzin, deputy director of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, told reporters on Wednesday.
“We had a meeting on the issue. As per methodology, when one side wants an unscheduled change in tariff, they send request to the company first. Transneft studied their suggestions, and rejected them. In this case, the authorized regulators should consider the case. We had such a meeting, and we’ve failed to reach a consensus. So, this issue will be discussed as planned at the end of this year when we make a tariff decision for the next year,” he said.
The existing order sees revision of tariffs on February 1, 2020, so the transit tariff will not change until then, he said.
Earlier in April, Dmitry Makhonin, head of the service’s department for regulation of the fuel and energy industry, said that the Belarusian regulator wanted to raise the tariff by 23.1%, but the service had found its reasons ungrounded.
